Curiel, Janetka named fellows of National Academy of Inventors

David T. Curiel, MD, PhD, and James W. Janetka, PhD – both of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis – have been named fellows of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). The recognition represents the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors.

Academy honors six university faculty

Genin, Guilak named to National Academy of Inventors

The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) has elected two Washington University in St. Louis faculty members to its 2022 cohort of fellows: Guy Genin, the Harold and Kathleen Faught Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the McKelvey School of Engineering, and Farshid Guilak, the Mildred B. Simon Research Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the School of Medicine.

University again named to top 100 patent list

Lishko named BJC Investigator

Polina V. Lishko co-founded the startup company YourChoice Therapeutics. While she has since stepped away from the company, YourChoice Therapeutics continues to build on her research to develop temporary, nonhormonal contraceptives.
